Our Mission

Conserving Heritage, Empowering Communities


Regeneration, Restoration, Upliftment and Development in:

BUILT HERITAGE – To promote and encourage activities related to historic research,
documentation and conservation of old monuments with community participation.

COMMUNITY – To promote and encourage artistic and cultural activities such as local arts and
crafts and to promote indigenous construction materials and
techniques. To provide counseling at various social levels and to educate the
community about the significance of natural and built heritage.

ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT – To promote and encourage activities such as
reforestation, water harvesting and regeneration of natural resources.

What We Do

Through a wide range of programmes, DRONAH Foundation nurtures the next generation of heritage professionals and engages the public in conservation.


World Heritage & Management

DRONAH has successfully inscribed 3 World Heritage Sites and 2 cities on UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The expertise of the team lies in preparation of Nomination Dossiers keeping to UNESCO Guidelines.

Conservation and Adaptive Reuse

DRONAH has steered several works on conservation, prepared and implemented Heritage DPRs, framed policies and executed adaptive reuse proposals. The team comprises of expert and associate Conservation Architects, Archaeologists and Architects. Our main focus is to bridge the gaps between heritage, nature and community.

Museum Planning and Cultural Theme Parks

Team has consulted 15 museums projects across the country : 7 in Rajasthan, 4 in Punjab, 1 in Delhi, 2 in Andhra Pradesh, 1 in Uttarakhand and 1 in Madhya Pradesh. It is currently working on an international project, India Garden, a cultural garden in China and Patna Museum in Bihar

Educational Grants

Supporting students and researchers pursuing heritage-related studies and fieldwork across India.

Internships

Hands-on learning opportunities with DRONAH’s multidisciplinary teams on live conservation and research projects.

Research Projects

Collaborative research with architecture colleges and academic institutions on heritage documentation and design.

Training & Workshops

Capacity-building programmes and workshops for professionals, students, and community members in heritage practice.

Public exhibitions and design competitions that raise awareness and celebrate India’s cultural and architectural heritage.
